Schools finals continued on Tuesday, at Stormont. First up was the McDowell Cup for 2nd XIs, between Rainey Endowed School and Strathearn.
Rainey dominated a scoreless 1st half, depriving Strathearn of the ball and camping in their half. Despite creating chances none of the Rainey players could make them count.
In the 2nd half, the roles were reversed. Strathearn gradually turned the game around forcing Rainey back and creating scoring opportunities. Strathearn had most of the play couldn’t convert . . .
