The final match at Londonderry Park on Saturday afternoon featured Ards II XI against Lurgan II XI in the highly competitive Junior 1 league.
As the sun went down it was getting quite nippy, in fact I was cold all day, and I was thinking of just doing the first half before heading home for a heat up but I’m glad to say it was a lively game that flew by and I ended up staying to the end.
There was plenty of action but no goals in the first quarter but Ards turned up the pressure in the second quarter and were rewarded with a goal from Aimee Adams who calmly placed a nice lay off from Frankie Brown.
