The women’s Junior 1 league is hotting up with Pegasus leading the charge to reign in Ards at the top of the table.
It was a must win for Pegasus and their experienced side had the students under the cosh from the start.
Isabel Monaghan opened the scoring after 9 minutes to give Pegasus a 0 – 1 lead which they took into the first break.
Pegasus continued to swarm forwards in the second quarter and the driving force, Hannah Craig, added a second goal from a penalty corner before the agile Molly Young added a third to give Pegasus a 0 – 3 lead at half time.
