We caught up with the early kick off i n the Irish Hockey Senior Cup at Deramore Park as Belfast Harlequins hosted Railway Union in the women’s semi final.
Railway edged possession in the first quarter without really threatening the Quins goal, but the breakthrough came when a cross-goal strike saw Kate Dillon slide in to put Union into a deserved lead.

It was notable how Riona Norton in the Union goal was in constant communication with her defence, keeping them well organised and alert at the back.
