Women’s Senior 1: NI Civil Service 1 Bangor 1

On Saturday, at lunchtime NI Civil Service, welcomed Bangor to Stormont, for a Women’s Senior 1 league fixture.

Both teams took a while to settle. After 5 minutes Anna Weiniger opened the scoring for Bangor, countered after 11 minutes by a Lucy Matthews strike to tie the game at 1-1.

Celebrations for Service’s goal

Despite some end to end play it was 1-1 at the end of the 1st quarter.

Neither team could impose themselves in a scoreless 2nd quarter.
