Over the weekend Banbridge Hockey Club hosted Dublin YM HC, Lisnagarvey HC, Cookstown HC, Uddingston HC (Glasgow) and Inverleith HC (Edinburgh) in the inaugural Belmont Cup at Havelock Park.

Saturday’s results and Sunday’s Semi Final clashes, set up a Banbridge v Dublin YM Final

Though it was a scoreless 1st half both sides showed attacking flair and both goalkeepers were called into action.

Both keepers were called into action early on

On 34 minutes Eugene McGhee opened Banbridge’s account with a strike following a penalty corner for a 1-0 lead. There was no further scoring in the 3rd quarter.
