International Athletics: Morton Games 2022

Saturday evening’s Morton Games, held at Morton Stadium, Santry, Dublin, took place in very varying weather conditions, from bright sunshine to heavy rain. A large, enthusiastic crowd were entertained by some great performances, all to the disco themes of ‘Santry Night Fever.

Though Personal Bests were set and U23 National and Stadium Records were broken, the highlight of the meeting was the last event of the evening, the ‘Morton Mile’. Six athletes achieved sub 4 minute mile times, with Andrew Coscoran winning by 2 one hundredths of a second, the thickness of a vest, from Cathal Doyle.
