On Wednesday afternoon Campbell College met Wallace High School in the second semi final of the Schools Cup at Kingspan Stadium.
The previous day’s semi final was played in a sun splashed, warm arena, this game was played on a grey, overcast dreich day. A constant drizzle became heavier during the game and, as the temperature dropped in the sodden conditions, so ball handling skills deteriorated.

Campbell applied all the pressure from kick off. Wallace attempted to run the ball out into the breeze but were beaten back. Territory and possession eventually paid dividends. Matthew Booth scrambled his way over for Peter Caves to convert and Campbell led 7-0 after 15 minutes.
