On Thursday evening Banbridge Academy met Friends School, as part of a double header, in the Burney Cup Final, at Stormont.
A large crowd was treated to a fast paced, skilful contest, in which no quarter was asked nor given.

The first minutes were end to end play with neither defence given time to settle.
A Matthew Stevenson strike gave Banbridge the lead after 10 minutes, only for Tom Archbold to equalise 4 minutes later. The 1st quarter ended 1 apiece.
Stevenson got his 2nd on 19 minutes for Banbridge to take a 2-1 lead into the break.
