On Saturday afternoon, UCD travelled up to Deramore Park, to play Belfast Harlequins in an EYHL fixture.
Quins took time to settle and UCD took advantage of this when Aine Naughton caught their defence sleeping to score from close range after 5 minutes.
Worse was to follow on 13 minutes. Rachel Kelly’s close range strike from open play caught Quins defence flat footed and UCD were 2-0 up. The 1st quarter ended with UCD leading 2-0.
Though the 2nd and 3rd quarters were scoreless it was UCD, who had the majority of play, but they failed to take advantage of their dominance.
