An unseasonably warm Saturday morning greeted the players and the supporters who turned up in their numbers to witness a real clash of the titans of Ulster Schools Rugby. From the off, neither team disappointed, some lovely hands, footwork and big hits provided all the entertainment one could possibly need.

The home crowd got loud early on when on the 6th minute when Callum Mustoe crossed the white wash to give Ballymena an early lead. Kicker Tristan Ferguson was unable to add the extra two, kicking with a strong cross wind.
