Blackrock travelled from Dublin to play Cooke women in a Women’s AIL game at Shaw’s Bridge.
On a dark, gloomy, wind and rain swept pitch, Cooke, who lacked cohesion and coordination crashed to a bruising defeat.
Cooke started brightly, but turned around 0 – 19 down. In the 2nd half, they conceded over a point per minute to end on a 0 – 66 drubbing.
The Blackrock try scorers were Michelle Claffey (2), Aoife Wafer (3), Maeve Liston, Anna Doyle (2), Nichola Fryday and Maeve Og O’Leary. Conversions were made by Lisa Mullen (4) and Meabh Deely.
