On Wednesday evening an enlarged Ulster U18 squad played Queens in a trial game at the Queen’s Arena.
Queens settled quickly and took a 2-0 lead, through Conor Irwin and Andrew O’Hare, against an Ulster side, who lacked coordination, through to the end of the quarter.

The 2nd quarter was much more even. Philip Campbell increased Queen’s lead, before Morgan Murphy pulled one back for the Ulster side to give a 3 – 1 scoreline in Queen’s favour as the teams changed ends.

In the 3rd quarter Queen’s domination told. A brace from O’Hare, completing his hat trick and a second from Campbell, increased Queens lead to 6-1.
A Barry Cronin goal in the 4th quarter completed the scoring leaving Queens with a 7-1 victory and the Ulster coaches with a lot to think about.
