Sullivan traveled to meet Methody, at Pirrie Park, in Saturday morning’s Schools’ Cup Quarter Final Tie. A strong wind blowing diagonally, coupled with heavy sleet showers made for challenging conditions overhead.

Sullivan kicked off into the wind and kept Methody pinned deep in their own half for the first 10 minutes.
Play then fluctuated between the 22’s before midway through the half Adam Reid scored an unconverted try far out on the left, after a series of short forward drives.
Defences held firm for the rest of the half leaving Melody 5 – 0 up at half time.
Any attacking play was cancelled out by stout defences, before midway through the 2nd half, Adam McNamee increased Methody’s lead with an unconverted try.
Sullivan reduced the deficit, when pressure lead to an unconverted try by Zak Monaghan.
With weather conditions deteriorating Methody increased their lead through a Callum Davidson unconverted try.
With their 15 – 5 victory, Methody can look forward to a semi final clash with Wallace High School at the Kingspan Stadium on 4th March.
