On Saturday there were perfect overhead and underfoot conditions at the Palace Grounds for the Ulster Senior Cup Semi Final between City of Armagh and Omagh Academicals.
Armagh started brightly but were unable to convert territory and possession into points. Crucial passes and offloads were dropped with the line at their mercy.
Armagh’s pressure eventually told when a Harry Boyd penalty goal gave them a 3-0 lead after 16 minutes.
Omagh absorbed Armagh’s pressure and broke out in a sweeping move that had Luke Hanson run in from midway. Kyle Beattie converted to give Omagh a 7-3 lead.
