Grosvenor and Queens II contested the McCrea Cup Final on Saturday evening at the Kingspan Stadium.
Grosvenor opened the scoring, when Timmy McMullan’s monster penalty, from just inside the Queens’ half, cleared the bar with metres to spare for a 3-0 lead.
Jack Breen was, on hand, to finish off a sweeping move, diving in on the left for an unconverted try after 27 minutes to take Grosvenor out to 8-0.
Queens pressure yielded a penalty, converted by Angus Christie to reduce the arrears to 8-3, before another McMullan penalty restored Grosvenor’s lead to 11-3.
