Schools Cup: Grosvenor Grammar 12 Omagh Academy 41

Grosvenor Grammar School entertained Omagh Academy on a damp and drizzly Saturday morning in the third round of the Ulster Schools Cup.

Both sides took to the field pretty fired up, Grosvenor enjoyed the best of the opening exchanges but after withstanding early pressure the Academy side broke out for full back Tyan Reid to cross for an unconverted try after a period of pressure in the Grosvenor 22.

And four minutes later Omagh’s impressive centre Joshua Kyle broke up the left to finish close to the posts, for Andrew Johnston to convert, giving Omagh a 0 – 12 lead at the start of the second quarter.
