Ballyclare High entertained Royal School Armagh in a Schools Cup tie at Rashee Road on a windy Saturday morning.
Ballyclare High got off to the best of starts, using the strong wind at their backs to pin Armagh in their own area from the off. The brief period of intense pressure paid off when Ballyclare’s James Spence crashed over to ground the ball after five minutes. The difficult conversion was missed but, so strong was the wind that I was expecting a hatful of scores at the end I was covering in the first half.
It didn’t work out that way and, to their credit, The Royal School looked to have the better of the rest of the half as they patiently worked their way up the . . .
