Our old alma mater, Larne Grammar, slipped out of the Schools Cup on Saturday morning with arch enemies Carrick Grammar taking the honours in this first round match.
It was a remarkable reversal for Carrick who shipped 42 points the last time these two teams met in October, a result that probably accounted for Larne’s slow start.
Carrick enjoyed the best of the first half picking up their points from two Ethan Law penalties plus a Levi Cave try with Law adding the extras.
