Ireland Men 7s: Three Ulster players vie for Olympic chance.

Three Ulster players will be vying for selection for the Ireland 7s Olympic Repechage squad as they get a run out this weekend in the International 7s Tournament against Team GB 7s at the IRFU High Performance Centre.

Jude Postlethwaite and Aaron Sexton appear to be in the driving seat with selection in Ireland Team 1 but Ben Moxham can’t be too far off making the final cut after impressing, in limited game time, a fortnight ago in the Invitational International 7s at Burton Upon Trent. Moxham is in Team 2 as is former Ulster player Rory Scholes.

Ireland will play against two teams from Team GB as both squads look to get, much needed, game time under their belt following the extensive lockdown.

As I said, Ireland will be using it to fine tune their squad for the Olympic Repechage in Monaco in 19th June.

Having already qualified, Team GB, a selection of players from England, Scotland . . .
