Ireland Women: Player of the Decade

by

, ,

Following on from our Ireland Women Team of the Decade vote our poll is now open for the Ireland Women Player of the Decade.

There were three absolute legends who received over 75% of votes for their respective positions that they were worthy of further recognition.

The word “legend” is overused but these three are definitely worthy of that term. Each one has been, and continues to be, outstanding ambassadors for the women’s game not only in Ireland but also on the world stage. Individually, and together, they have given us some of the greatest moments of our rugby coverage bar none.

Click or scroll through the web story below for the player stats between 2010 and 2020. The web story can be shared individually by clicking on the share icon in the top right corner.

Niamh was outstanding at outhalf or full back and her kicking abilities were responsible for achieving victories on many occasions.
She is a great ambassador for women’s rugby.

Niamh Briggs, at number 10 brought Irish ladies international rugby to new heights. All 3 girls in their own right deserve to win.
