Club Youth: Ballyclare 0 Larne 26 U18 Friendly

Larne came out on top against Ballyclare in an U18 hit out at The Cloughan on Saturday morning.

It as a well contested game from both sides but Larne were just that bit sharper in attack and were able to take their chances.

Cain Ferguson opened the scoring for Larne, barging over, 10 minutes in, from close in for a try, converted by Jack Wallace.

In a tight game it was nearly 20 minutes before the next score. This time it was the mercurial Callum Adair who found the line after a series of attacks down the left by the visitors. The conversion from the touchline was short leaving Ballyclare chasing a 12 point deficit at half time.

Larne continued to edge territory and possession in the second half with Ballyclare restricted to the occasional break out. The pressure eventually told with Wallace scampering over out wide to finish under the posts to give himself an easy conversion, pushing the score along to 0 – 19.

Adair added some icing to the scoreline, crossing out wide with the final play of the game to give Larne a 0 – 26 win.
