Queen’s University continued their unbeaten start to the Deloitte Premiership with a convincing win against second placed Omagh Academicals on Saturday afternoon at the Queen’s Sports Arena.

It was unfortunate timing for the visitors who were missing some key names, for this top of the table encounter, making it a baptism of fire for Omagh’s handful of debutante players.

Queen’s started with some intent and were on the scoreboard after three minutes with the powerful Arantza Riba opening the scoring. Dianne Ramsey added a quick brace before Beth Taylor got in on the act in a torrid first quarter for the visitors.
