Friendly: Ulster Women end their preparations with a convincing win.

Ulster Women entertained the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds on Saturday evening at Belfast Harlequins Rugby Club for their last hit out before the Women’s Interprovincials, which kick off next weekend.

It was a bit of a one sided match with Ulster coming out on top 62 – 5 though the young touring side did remain competitive for the bulk of the first half.

Despite the fact that it was a convincing win for the home side it’s difficult to ascertain how much they got out of the game other than a physical contest. The home team had too many big guns to call on and despite many errors their experienced players Kathryn Dane, Jemma Jackson and Beth Cregan, and youngster Neve Jones, kept them going forward.
