Ireland Women: Kinghan to make senior sevens debut.

Monaghan’s Lucinda Kinghan is scheduled to make her Ireland Women’s Sevens senior debut this weekend at the Rugby Europe Sevens Grand Prix 2nd Leg in Kharkiv, Ukraine. The matches take place on Saturday, July 20 and Sunday, July 21.

TeamFRU’s Kinghan was recently active for, one of our feeder clubs, Railway Union at the recent All Ireland Sevens and has come through the Ireland Women’s 7s pathway after representing Ireland at U18 level in sevens. She will be joined by Enniskillen native Claire Boles who returns to the squad after missing the Olympic Qualifiers.

Stephanie Carroll (Railway Union) and Dorothy Wall (Fethard) are also scheduled to make their debut this weekend in a much changed side with the management team taking the opportunity to have a look at squad depth in what should be a dead rubber of a tournament for most sides now that Olympic qualification and World Series places have been decided.
