The Women’s Six Nations kicked of at the weekend with matches on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Wales and Scotland were first up with an entertaining game on Friday evening with the Welsh holding on for a one point win.

Ireland slipped to a heavy defeat by France on Saturday night, but it could have been a lot worse, and England romped to a comfortable win against Italy on Sunday afternoon. The results are shown below.

The Women’s Six Nations has effectively split into a Two Nations between, professional sides, England and France and a Four Nations between the rest. Ireland have a good chance to be the “best of the rest” with Italy, Wales and Scotland all travelling to Donnybrook over the next three rounds.
