Cambridge House’s cup run came to an abrupt end on Saturday morning when an impressive Royal School Armagh scored seven tries without reply to secure their place in the Quarter Finals of the Danske Bank Schools Cup.

The Ballymena side had moved from 22nd to 18th in our Rankings during the first couple of rounds but this match against 4th placed Royal school Armagh was always going to be a big hurdle in the way of further progress.

So it proved as Armagh ran in seven tries in a one sided first half in cold, wet and miserable conditions. The Armagh tries came from Jack Treanor, who scored one in each half, with Benji Boyd, Matthew Reaney, Jack Chapman, Charlie Worth and Jonny Agnew all crossing in the first. Zac Thompson converted five to take the score to 0 – 45.

Armagh are on the road again for the Quarter Finals with a trip to Wallace High on Saturday 17th January.
