The Development Squads have been named for the match between Munster and Ulster at Thomond Park this evening . Kick Off 17:30.

In this early season mini – series, which Connacht again appear to have opted out off, Ulster have already beaten their Leinster equivalents 30 – 34 but suffered a reversal against Ulster Clubs in a rather lacklustre display.

Michael Lowry and Johnny Stewart return to the starting line up with Stewart captaining the team. His return set’s up an interesting clash with Munster scrum half Jack Stafford, the pair battling for the scrum half berth for Ireland U20’s during the recent 2017 U20 World Championship in Georgia.

Also included from that campaign are Calvin Nash, Liam Coombes and Gavin Coombes for Munster with Ulster including Jack Regan and Peter Cooper.

It’s a fairly experienced looking Munster side who also include Jack Power, Vincent O’Brien, John Poland and Shane Daly from previous Ireland U20’s sides with Ulster calling on Greg Jones from that team two years ago. Ulster have also included Zac Ward after an impressive performance for the Ulster Clubs side last time out.

Should be an interesting encounter, but I fancy Ulster to nick a win.
