The teams have been announced for Sunday evening’s Champions Cup clash between Exeter Chiefs and Ulster Rugby at Sandy Park, kick off 17:30. Live on BT Sport.
In the backs we see Charles Piutau return to the starting line up, with Jacob Stockdale dropping to the bench, and Dave Shanahan swaps places with Paul Marshall at scrum half.
In the forwards we have Pete Browne in for Iain Henderson with Hendy moving to the flank at the expense of Clive Ross, who now benches.
That’s it, surprisingly few changes and I suppose the biggest surprise is that Tommy Bowe doesn’t make the squad. No mention of him being injured but let me know if I’ve missed that!
Exeter play their full contingent of Ulster men with Ian Whitten and Gareth Steenson both starting, Steenson continuing his role as Captain.
The FRU Predicts: The Chiefs have been on a bit of a run since the last time these teams met, winning eight games out of their last eleven, whereas our boys have thrown together a run of four wins out of the last eleven. However, form doesn’t seem to matter in these sort of games and the Ulster support, ourselves included, are fully confident of a bonus point win! (For Ulster that is!) Yeoh! #SUFTUM
