The Schools’ 1stXV Cup was back in action this weekend along with the start of the Trophy competition. All matches were able to be completed apart from one, with results playing out as follows:

A number of very close games among those results, as well as BRA putting up good numbers against Grosvenor GS despite their average season so far; talk about peaking at the right time! After results were received the draw was made for the proceeding rounds as well as the quarterfinal stage of the Bowl competition:

In the Cup last-16, Ballymena Academy v Wallace HS looks to be the tie of the round with the North Down match-up between Regent House and Sullivan Upper also making for interesting viewing. In the Bowl we have the clash of the Royal Schools Armagh and Dungannon while the second Trophy semifinal features an East-Antrim coastal tie as Larne GS travel to play Belfast HS.
All of these matches are due to be played on Saturday 6th February with the postponed game between Cambridge House and Strabane Academy due to be resolved on Wednesday 27th January.

Foyle College have already secured their place as Trophy semifinalists with the victory over Wellington College, but all other fixtures are due to be played on, or before, Saturday 30th January.
