PRO12: Teams up for Dragons v Ulster

The teams have been announced for Ulster’s PRO12 clash against the Dragons at Rodney Parade on Sunday afternoon. KO 2:30pm, live on BBC.

It’s the start, or more correctly a re-start, of a new era at Ulster with Les Kiss naming the side for the first time since his sojourn at the World Cup and, coupled with European competition starting next weekend, there is plenty to be interested about in this match.

I must admit that I’ve had my concerns about Kiss’ appointment given his input into another shockingly poor World Cup series by an Ireland side who appeared to under-perform in every match in the competition. The poor use of the squad and subsequent over-reliance on key players was my main bone of contention but Kiss has blown that out of he water with his first selection, which see’s more than a few surprises, and, even if I don’t agree with them all, you have to give him some credit for having the confidence to take risks.

    A well written and intelligent article there Ed. Careful with the ‘ginger’ comments though,we wouldn’t want any accusations of racism now!

    1. Ha Ging. I have placed said bet for the copper topped trio to all score. Disappointing odds but if it comes up it should keep me in vin rouge next weekend in Oyonnax!
