Another trip to Wales and another defeat for Ulster who were completely outclassed in this 31 – 20 reversal to the Ospreys at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
I found the match as big a disappointment as the finale to The Fall, dull, lacking direction and poor characterisation perhaps summing up both. Unfortunate that neither delivered the sum of their parts.
Failing to deliver has been a bit of a habit for Ulster this season. It’s been a while since we’ve had figures as low as a 50% win ratio but that’s where we are now with seven wins, one draw and six losses, from the fourteen games played in the PRO12 and in Europe. It’s certainly not what we’ve come to expect over recent seasons but with the departure of star performers . . .
