Women: Chicago North Shore Strike Gold at the End of the Rainbow!

Long time readers of the FRU will remember our dalliance with the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee Panthers who toured Ulster way back in January 2008. I’m delighted that the girls have continued to keep in touch and kept the FRU up to date with their post college rugby exploits over the years.

One of our all time favourites, and legendary try scorer Brittany “The Bied” Biedenbender, has moved on to play senior rugby with Chicago North Shore Women’s team and, despite breaking her nose in three places (picture right) in a feisty training session, she’s been keeping us up to date of their progress throughout the season as they fought their way through to the final of the USA National Championship which will take place on the 31st May.
