Ulster dogged out a 9 – 3 win against Edinburgh on Friday night in poor conditions at, the soon to be re-turfed, Murrayfield Stadium.

Paddy Jackson scored all the points with three successful kicks from four attempts, missing a long range effort at the end of the first half, in a game where defences (and conditions) dominated.

Ulster: Jared Payne, Tommy Bowe, Darren Cave, Luke Marshall, Craig Gilroy, Paddy Jackson, Michael Heaney, Tom Court, Rob Herring, John Afoa, Johann Muller, Iain Henderson, Stephen Ferris, Sean Doyle, Roger Wilson. Replacements: Niall Annett, Andrew Warwick, Ricky Lutton, Dan Tuohy, Nick Williams, Robbie Diack, Paul Marshall, Sean McCloskey.
