Heineken Cup: Montpellier 8 Ulster 25

by

Ulster took a huge stride towards qualifying for the knock out stages of the Heineken Cup with a comfortable 25 – 8 win against Montpellier in France on Saturday afternoon.

The Ulster scores came from an Andrew Trimble try, five Ruan Pienaar penalties and Paddy Jackson chipped in with a conversion and a penalty.

The win moves Ulster to the top of Pool 5, a position they should maintain for the rest of the pool play should results go as expected. Too early I hear you say, but if I were Ulster Rugby I’d be getting in a few more steel erectors on site to make sure that the New Old Stand is ready for the 3rd April Quarter Final!  😈
