Ireland Women secured their first ever Grand Slam in a hard fought 6 – 3 win against Italy in wet and wintry conditions in Parabiago, Italy.

It was unfortunate that the Irish girls didn’t have the conditions to showcase their attacking skills, the trademark of their performances so far in the 2013 Six Nations, but they showed fantastic match day maturity and grit as they ground out this hard fought win.

  1. Congratulations to the ‘Girls in Green’ – absolute legends – and also a mention for the FRU for their reporting and coverage over the tournament – and FRU John – you got a Smiley Personalised Baxter – that should at least be in with a shout for media picture of the year – surely!! 😉

  2. Proud to be an Irish Rugby Supporter! Congratulations again to the girls, you were amazing and committed to each other throughout the campaign. The lads said they were it just did not seem like it on the pitch! Those that played like individuals know who they are! Lets hope there is a new and strong coaching team in place for summer tour so the fantastic talent we have in our four provinces can be showcased properly and we can start to build again!!! C’monIrelanddddddd
