Women: RBS Six Nations Preview.

The Women’s RBS Six Nations kicks off this weekend in tandem with men’s competition and with the team for the game against Wales to be announced on Tuesday the Front Row Union caught up with the Ireland Women’s squad at their final session at Enfield.

There are still six Ulster players involved with he squad with Grace Davitt, Ashleigh Baxter, Amy Davis and Stacey Lea Kennedy joined by Exiles, and past Ulster players, Lauren Day and Larissa Muldoon. With all six expected to make the cut on Tuesday the province should have it’s biggest representation in the match day squad for many a year.

Having narrowly lost to France and England away last season the Ireland team have a realistic chance of improving on their  third place finish as they face the “big two” at home at Ashbourne this season and with the England squad supposedly weakened by 7’s commitments the Irish Girls will be hopeful of causing an upset. This season has to be their best chance in recent years . . .
