Ulster’s remarkable run continued with Scarlets the latest victims in the Belfast sides 12 match unbeaten run in all competitions and yet again they won while playing well within themselves!

You could probably write the same script for 6 or 8 of Ulster’s wins, didn’t play great but slugged it out, took the most of their opportunities and held on for the win and that is exactly how this match panned out.

Ulster’s Paddy Jackson and Scarlets’ Aled Thomas swapped early penalties before Andrew Trimble intercepted a loose pass to spring clear and score under the posts. Jackson added the extras and Ulster led 3 – 10.

Jackson added a penalty 5 minutes later to take the half time score to 3 – 13.

The visitors extended their lead with a Jackson penalty early in the second half but Scarlets pulled the lead back to seven points with two . . .
