It’s the last week of the Women’s AIL, that was quick, and there are still a few undecided outcomes for Ulster clubs.

After last week’s loss to Blackrock in AIL1 Belfast side Cooke really need to get a point of some description in their home game against unbeaten league leaders UL Bohs. It’s going to be a big ask for the Cookies as Bohs will be all out to wrap up the league but the Belfast girls have a chance of survival if they can either hang on in there for a losing bonus point or, more likely,  they can score four tries in a high scoring defeat and hope that other results go their way. Despite Bohs only conceding five tries this season I have a feeling that Cooke might just sneak the four and face a nervous wait on the outcome of other matches.

FRU Predicts: U.L. Bohemian

Queen’s University wrapped up Division 2 North last week and now face a play of with Division 2 South champions Portlaiose next weekend but they still have some unfinished business this week as they travel to Dublin to play Garda with the students looking to finish the regular season unbeaten. The Guards are a different proposition at their Westmanstown home but Queen’s have been playing some lovely rugby this season and they should have enough to take the win.

FRU Predicts: Queen’s University

City of Derry host Navan at Judges Road and the home side will be looking to finish of their rebuilding season with a win. Navan have shown some form of late, most noticeably in their win against Belfast Harlequins last weekend but the Meath side aren’t the best travellers so we’re tipping Derry to just edge this one.

FRU Predicts: City of Derry

The final game has been swapped around and with Cavan’s pitches unplayable they will now travel to Mullaghmeen to play Enniskillen. Home advantage will count and a win could see Skins move up to third in what would be regarded as a successful season.

FRU Predicts: Enniskillen
