It has been a fantastic season for the students who swept all before them this season as they completed their league campaign unbeaten, scoring an incredible 285 points and conceding only 29 and the Belfast based side should go into tomorrows game as firm favourites.
However, it wouldn’t be the first time a favourites tag has been the kiss of death and the students will have to be at their best if they are to overcome their opponents who have only suffered one reversal this season and have shipped only 23 points.
It has all the makings of a classic encounter and I’d highly recommend making the 2 hour trip down the M1 to support the Queen’s side – they have been playing some extraordinary rugby this season. The game kicks off at 13:00.
Should Queen’s win it will be a bittersweet result for the Women’s game in Ulster as unfortunately the team dropping out of the top flight are Cooke, for so long the dominant force in the Womens game north of the border.
