World record attempt this weekend!

by

Thought I’d flag this one up again as the World Record attempt is going on this weekend at Banbridge RFC – read on for details.

The Front Row Union are pleased to announce our association with one of Ulster’s strongest tag sides, the Mengal Taggers.

Started in the Summer of 2006 this season is the Taggers seventh season and along the way they have won the Ulster A League & Cup and the Ulster Beach Tag competition for the last 3 season’s as well as coming 3rd in All Ireland Finals in 2010 and runners up in 2011.

Mengal are made up of players from, Banbridge, Dungannon, Grosvenor, Ballymoney, Portadown, Cooke, Malone, Queens as well as some non rugby players but the obvious attraction for the FRU is their three ladies interprovincial players, Eliza Downey, Imogen Porter and Claire McLaughlin alongside, star of the future, Jemma Jackson

Sponsored by The Front Row Union, the Bronte Steak House and Shoefair Sports the Mengal Taggers help many local charities and on the 9th and 10th June at Banbridge Rugby Club they will be attempting to break a Guiness World Record for the longest continuous game of rugby ever, over 30 hours . . .

In 2022 we added 102,631 new images in 510 galleries with a gallery breakdown of 263 Rugby, 217 Hockey and 30 Athletics. Your registration and subscription will help us to continue.

Thanks.
