Utility back row Jacques Botes (scrumcap) looks to be the final piece in the Ulster jigsaw for next season.

Yet another article in the ever increasing series of transfer rumours.

This week it appears that Ulster are looking to sign utility back row player Jacques Botes from our overseas academy the Sharks.

Botes is reputed to be a close friend of Johann Muller and has played alongside Ruan Pienaar during their time together in Durban.

Aged 31 Botes is one of a few player to achieve 100caps in both Super Rugby  and Currie Cup Rugby and while he appears to be approaching the end of his career it seems that he still has plenty to offer round the park.

Our friend Rob Otto over on Sharksworld penned this recent piece on Botes on the occasion of him achieving his 100th Super League cap. A nice piece on a true fans favourite. I was particularly impressed by the comments after the piece.

The ideal gift for all the family :)
