Ireland U20’s, led by Ulster’s Patrick Jackson, have set up a Grand Slam encounter against England next weekend with this 26 – 0 win against Scotland on Friday night.

Shane Layden, Luke McGrath, Jack Conan crossed in a stilted performance from Ireland, Jackson contributed 11 points and they now travel to England for the championship decider.

Buccaneers’ Layden started the scoreboard ticking over with a scorching try down the left, kicking ahead and collecting to score.

Playing on his home turf, Layden was a handful but despite his efforts Ireland were restricted to a Jackson penalty in the rest of the half taking the score to 8 – 0 as the teams changed ends.
