AIL1B: Week 12 Results.

Dungannon were the big losers this weekend in the AIL1B. With fate conspiring to rob the Tyrone side of nine of their usual starters through provincial or international duties they suffered the double misfortune to come up against a full strength Belfast Harlequins enjoying a good run of form.

Quins ran in tries from Michael Allen, Rory Scholes, Richard Lutton and Niall Annett with Neil McComb adding three of his own. Ian Porter added three conversions and a penalty in the 17 – 44 rout at Stevenson Park.

Dungannon managed to cross the line twice with Darren Simpson, Mark Jenkinson scoring late in the game.  Michael Lawton converted both to add to a first half penalty.

Ballymena continued with their impressive record on the road, coming back from Galway with all the points i na 22 – 27 win. Tries from Caolan Fitzpatrick, Alasdair Frazer, Rodger McBurney and John Andrew secured the bonus point. Luke Marshall converted two and added a penalty in an impressive win for the Braid men who trailed 12 – 7 at half . . .
