Women: Rosie Stewart Cup Round 1 Results.

by

,

The results are in from the opening round of the Rosie Stewart Cup, with the exception of the Belfast Harlequins v Queens University match which has been postponed until this Wednesday (18th Jan).

The postponement allowed Cooke to steal a march on their Eastern Division rivals with a comprehensive win against Carrick Ladies, securing the bonus point in the first half. The 71 – 0 victory will give Cooke plenty of confidence before their head to head with their chief rivals Belfast Harlequins on Sunday.

In the Western Division,  City of Derry managed to pull off a good win away to Cavan, squeezing through 15 – 12 in a tough game which will stand them in good stead for their game against Enniskillen this coming Sunday.

With the Skins showing fine form, in their 43 – 10 bonus point win against Sligo, the match against City of Derry is likely to prove the Division decider, though Cavan may still have a say on the outcome of this section.
