Women’s AIL: Week 5 Review.

by

,

Things got a bit messy over the early season break with games being staggered and AIL 1 starting back a week before AIL 2N.

Unfortunately though we don’t have too much to catch up with as the Ulster sides have been struggling to field full teams over the holiday period!

Last week saw Cooke travel to Dublin to face Old Belvedere and despite going down 11 – 0 Cooke were pleased with their performance in what beens a difficult start to the season.

The Belfast outfit brought some of this form back with them as they recorded their first win of the season this weekend beating Navan 26 – 7 at Shaws Bridge. Eliza Downey, Caroline Kelly, Claire Donnelly and Grace Davitt all crossed the line with Davitt adding three conversions.

With a win now under their belt and key players returning from injury Cooke may now be able to get their season back on track.
