Women’s AIL: Week 1 Results.

We promised you three tight games this weekend and that’s exactly what we got.

In AIL 1 a depleted Cooke went down narrowly at home  22 – 24 to St Mary’s, Dublin with a last minute try just not enough to snatch a draw. Despite the defeat Cooke secured two bonus points, one for scoring four tries and one by losing by less than seven. Cooke centre Laura Nicholl grabbed a brace of tries in this hard fought game with Teah Maguire and Ruth Beattie also crossing the line. Grace Davitt added one conversion.

With UL Bohs, Old Belvedere and Highfield all winning in the other AIL 1 matches the league looks as follows:
