Let’s hear it for the ‘one Greek in Ulster’!
Has he signed a new contract yet?
If not, why not? He’s too good a player to lose.
If he has, why has it not been announced by the club?
C’mon Ulster – let’s treat all players fairly.

Well said Planet Rugby. Also find it strange that in past few months, Ulster Rugby have been delighted to announce the re-signing of contracts by all an sundry…..yet not a peep is forthcoming on the subject of our favourite Greek’s new contract?
Perhaps we can look forward to a selection reversal next time out with Andi K starting, for some much-needed game time and Brady warming the bench…

Well now John , you pose a very valid question regarding our Greek hooker. Just what has the lad done (or not done) to warrant such shabby treatment? He’s had just one start this season (against Edinburgh at home) when he had a very good 50 mins, only to be inexplicably replaced by Best (no doubt on orders from another source). Since then, not a sniff of a start and only brief cameo appearances off the bench.

When he has come on, he has added a greater intensity in defence and more options in attack. Yet, his performances do not seem to matter a jot. Why?

Compare this against his impressive performances last season, culminating in winning two Ireland A caps in the Autumn and it really does pose serious questions over the bizarre man management of this very capable hooker. So what the heck is going on?

You hit the nail on the head John, the current selection policy leaves us with only two match fit hookers and as you say, if one gets injured, it leaves us in a very vulnerable situation.

Would be great to see him get a start during the 6N’s ….. it’s long overdue!

Noted that Diack said on Twitter he had spent an hour going round IKEA and reported he was exhausted. Suppose an hour round IKEA with the missus might equate to going 80minutes with Gerry Collins et al.

I believe according to his Twitter that Dan the Man is out for a few weeks yet.

I believe Diack has only just arrived back in the country after his honeymoon. He is obviously exhausted. 🙂

Anyone know how long Big Dan is likely to be out for?
