I met up with one of Dungannon Rugby’s latest recruits on Tuesday night, namely Aaron Fry from Maddison, Wisconsin.
Aaron is over for a year’s rugby experience at Dungannon and he’s certainly got all the credentials to break into the team, looking comfortable in his debut in Tuesday’s pre-season friendly against Ballymena at Stevenson Park.
Twenty four year old Aaron started playing rugby at high school and after appearances for Wisconsin Select and Midwest Select sides he made four appearances for the USA Eagles U19 in 2005.
Aaron went on to play for University of Wisconsin – Stout making the Collegiate All American side and recently spent 11 months in New Zealand playing rugby. Prior to coming over to Ireland he played in USA Rugby Division 1 for Metropolis RFC in Minnesota.
