ravens120white Ulster’s scrum half problems deepened as Cillian Willis suffered a leg break in the Ravens narrow 19 – 18 defeat in the outskirts of Dublin yesterday afternoon.

You can view the full report here on Ulster Rugby and there’s not much we can add as I didn’t manage to make the trip down.

Suffice to say that all at The FRU wish Cillian a speedy recovery and hope that he’s back in action for next season.

With both Ian Porter and now Cillian Willis being out of action for the remainder of this season, I would like to think that Ulster Rugby will consider the concerns of the supporter and quickly release an update on their progress to replace the departing scrum halfs’ Isaac Boss and, allegedly, Paul Marshall as the unfortunate injuries show just how limited our scrum half stock is for next season.

Personally, I would like to see Ulster develop from within with a Porter upgrade and another youngster brought into the Academy rather than sign a big name, but I’d guess I’d be in a pretty small minority with that opinion.
